ZU DEN WIESEN // Germany

“Zu den Wiesen” is an old heritage home in the north of Germany that was renovated by the photographers and stylists Susann Probst & Yannic Schon known as Kraut Kopf

The concept of a “handmade wilderness” arose during my site-visits merging the history of the property with the desire to have an ever-changing space by the clients.
Close to the house and the remains of a former “washhouse” the design plays with formality and wilderness, crafting new spaces through perennial beds, solitary trees and new vistas onto the different areas in the garden.

It is slowly establishing with the first beds planted in Spring 2022 and more to be added gradually over time to allow for eco-tones and the development of wildlife habitats alongside it.
