Merging the Wild.
Haute Jardin is run by queer artist Sebastian Conrad as a wilderness-driven atelier.
Founded on the first Monday in May in twenty-twenty, Haute Jardin stands for a detailed and spellbinding approach to narrating beauty with —through — and alongside nature.
From seasonal masterful floral design and naturalistic garden making to fine-art photography, abstract painting and heartfelt poetry: Each project is infused with an abundant, curated wilderness — always weaving in a contemporary and bold approach that can be felt pulsating through each of his works.
He is co-chair of the German Slowflowerbewegung promoting seasonal and regional cut-flowers as well as contemporary, eco-conscious and future-proof floristry.
Wilderness Driven
His meandering education has allowed Sebastian to merge multiple disciplines from his background in fine-art, plant-focussed garden design as well as master-floristry and photography to craft a bespoke, earthern and spellbinding body of work.
Although currently based in Munich, Sebastian, as a keen traveller, provides his offerings worldwide and has created gardens in Greece, Italy, Germany and Great Britain. His paintings can be found in private collections in Tuscany, San Francisco and Germany whilst he is publishing his poetry and fine-art photographs on his social-media platform and his newsletter.
His Retreats and classes are, what Sebastian loves offering most throughout the yearly seasons, sharing his love for wildness and the beauty that exists within each moment.
